I came across this video sometime last week but just now got to posting it. Basically Nightline came out and said the story that has been floating around for a minute: Porn Is Losing Money.
*Gasp*
I’ve mentioned this several times on this site. You can’t continue to try to make money using the same old tactics from 20 years ago. Porn is using the same tactics of the MPAA to bully the people they wish to be consumers. Steve Orenstein, the president of Wicked Pictures frequently comes out against Tube sites saying that they are costing him money but I’ve seen his films and they seem quite boring.
Would it kill him to sign some more women of color to his exclusive stable?
Another thing I caught from the report was the fact that a new appliance that allows you to watch Porn in a totally new way. Called the RealTouch, its a masterbator appliance that when plugged into a computer matches the movements of a Porn movie you are watching. Sounds nice but I’m still hung up on the price. It’s $199.99 for the appliance but it can only sync up with special movies which has a per minute price. That sounds that can be pricey if you watch a lot of porn.
I don’t know about you but this isn’t going to get me to buy porn.
What will you ask? That’s a whole other posting.
Peep the video below.

Okay I needed this to be its own separate post because I wanted to talk to my followers directly. I try to follow a number of Stars and Starlets in the Adult Film Game but I must at admit that since the summer when I discovered Jayla Starr and Melody Nakai six months ago I haven’t heard anything about new starlets working.
I keep up on trends but for the life of me it seems that I haven’t heard anything new in regards to Porn and its stars. It seems like all the news of Black Porn has dried up … I’m dumbfounded that there hasn’t been any info since the Summer.
This just cannot be as I’m sure that Ebony Porn did not just dry up.
So I ask you my followers Who’s or What’s New In Porn That I Need To Keep Up On?

Since the last couple of guest postings went over like gangbusters, a friend of mine named Ms. Insatiable wanted to join in on the fun. She writes her own blog called the The Insatiable Life, and we always have conversations about porn and its problems therein. She had some thoughts about Black Porn and things that bother her about the genre. Okay let me stop running my mouth and let Ms. Insatiable…..

Finally, finally , finally! After 2 months of procrastination, a new job and a little bit of free time on my hands, I am gracing Blacksexxxology with a post entitled, “10 things I hate about black porn”. I got into porn at a young age, like many others, I would sneak into my parents’ bedroom and watch their videos when I got home from school. Not only did they turn me on, but I also found myself pointing out every single flaw on each tape. Whether it is was the bad lightening or the poor soundtrack, something was ALWAYS wrong. It was nothing like our white counterparts, whose sets were tropical locations and scenes were like those in Harlequin romance novels. No, “our” movies were about straight fuckin’ and nothing else while “Pumps in a Bump” blasted in the background.
Alas, I am getting away from the topic at hand. So yes, 15 plus years later, black porn has come a long way but still has quite a ways to go. Here is my list of 10 things I hate about black porn:
1. Lighting – Can we please get some real lighting technicians on set and not Pookie and ‘nem holding grandma’s good lamp? I’m just saying. A little bit of effort will goes a long way.
2. Casting – Porn stars have gone downhill since I first got into them. Back in the day they had nice bodies, great smiles and were subpar actresses. Nowadays, they pulling any and everything with an ass (or lack thereof) off the streets to “bend over and show the world”. Boo, put your clothes back on and hit up Bally’s before rolling back up here.
3. Ugly Male Costars – I’m sorry but as a woman, nothing turns us on more than a man that can slang dat thang, than a man that is FIONE while slinging it. Men that star in black porn have been very easy on the eyes since the beginning. Can we get some Denzel looking brothas in there? Some LL Cool J’s? Something!
4. The Soundtrack – I am not saying we need some Luke blasting in the background, or Kenny G crooning on his sax. Give us a nice, baby making soundtrack that will make the viewers wet just by listening.
5. The Camera Angles – I’m not a cinematographer, but I do know that sticking the camera up the woman’s vajayjay is not a turn on. Sure, we want to see some thrusting and a good shot of the wet-wet, but sometimes it seems like you are trying to show us her uterus too.
6. Anal to Mouth Action – This is just plain nasty. This dude has had his d#ck all up in your butt and now you want to give him some head…immediately after he has pulled I tout? Ewww! I do not know what book you read from but once something has been up in your butt, you do not put it anyplace else without “sterilizing” it first.
7. Lackluster Orgies – I’m not a big fan on orgies. *kanyeshrug* Just not my thing. But can you please stop putting the newbie, the old head, the one who can’t take a dick, 3 lame dudes that talk to each other THE WHOLE TIME, and that one chick who makes it her mission to out suck all the other chicks?
8. A DVD of Cum Shots – Now this could just be me, but I hate DVDs that have nothing but cum shots on them. I would like to see the other action leading up to the finale. That’s like a story with no beginning or middle. The end isn’t that sweet.
9. Strippers turn Pornstars – There is always that one chick that spends more time strutting around the house doing booty bounces before she even gets to the guy and they get busy. It is usually 15 minutes of this crap or of the camera guy asking her to do it. Please leave it at Strokers.
10. And finally…Wesley Pipes! I can’t begin to tell you all how much this dude irritates me. He spends the entire movie telling the other guy “yea, yea, fuck her man! Fuck her!” in his West Coast accent. Not to mention when its one-on-one action and he’s sounding more like dudes straight outta Compton with his ‘”Naw, take this dick! Take this dick girl. You can take it!”. Please Wesley, go somewhere…quick.
To all my porn aficionados, I wish you champagne, condoms and lubricant nights!
Ms Insatiable, as I mentioned before can be followed at her website of The Insatiable Life. However you have to subscribe to view and she does take her subscriptions seriously.

I love my readers. I really do. I’ve said this before because of the way they do engage me and point me into new directions or new experiences.
Today’s topic came from one of my favorite reader’s Alice. She sent me a very interesting video from Cindy Galloup who spoke at TED
She made news with her 4 minute speech which told the audience that thanks to porn and the lack of sex education to balance it out, you have a number of men having a warped view of how to even have sex.
It’s something that I’ve spoken with my female friends but I think that one part of this goes the heart of the matter. To paraphrase Cindy Gallop, most porn is created by men, for men and touches on men’s fantasies. To that point she referenced her website, Make Love Not Porn, which hopes to balance out the Myths of Porn with their realities.
I liked what she had to say because it didn’t attempt to shame the people who watch porn (Ms. Gallop mentioned that she is a porn watcher herself) but wanted them to take a different look at porn.
My view has always been that porn is fake on so many levels. Porn is like action movies, with plenty to stunts and stuntpeople but not something you could do in real life.
I just wish more people would see it that way.
More later.

Current TV’s documentary show Vanguard focused on the Porn Industry in an episode called Porn 2.0. The topic was how Pornography was dealing with the loss of revenue due to the economy and Tube/Torrent Sites. It also focused on how the companies were adapting to the changing landscape.
It was interesting for the most part but I feel that its another piece that focuses on how people are no longer buying porn because of lack of money. I think that is only one part of the problem as I feel that Porn Companies have not changed their business models since the introduction of Porn on the Internet.
In my opinion you can’t continue to keep putting out the same material for a select group people. Yes, I know that white men are your bead and butter but companies seem to be freezing out a new demographic that could help them weather the storm. More women and couples are buying porn now and I think that themes and titles need to reflect that.
The show also showed new technology that would hope to level the playing field. I don’t think that getting porn on your iPod or a machine that will allow a man to go stroke for stroke with video clip is going to help. It is a start and they are at least trying to think outside of the box.
However as I’ve said before, you’re not going to save your business unless you bring in new clientele. The only way to do that is to look to other demographic streams.
Anyway time to get off my soapbox. You can review the show below:

Again one of the wonderful things about Twitter is the conversations that you have with other folk. While trying to come up with a topic for today I was asked the question: “What would be your perfect Porn Star?”
Unfortunately my perfect Porn Star is not just one woman but a combination of several women I have come across while watching porn.
First off in order for her to be a perfect Porn Star she has have Marketability. Be it via her website or other outside ventures, she has to be able to generate buzz and dollars even if the market can’t. No one does this better than Jenna Jameson.
Although I’m not a fan, I do marvel at the woman’s hustle. She started as a stripper in 1993 and managed to work her way as CEO of her own adult entertainment company ClubJenna which boasts $30 Million a Year in revenue. She is instantly recognizable in and outside the world of porn. Her stripper past in considered an afterthought as she has become a pop culture Icon. She has starred in a vast array of non-pornographic efforts from the NBC drama Mister Sterling in 2003 to 2008 Horror-Comedy Zombie Strippers.
I think that both Jayla Starr and Pinky have the ability to reach this plateau as both have very strong internet presence.
Now in order to be able to have that Marketability you need to have that certain Cross-Over Appeal. Yes Jenna carries herself well to several venues but in my opinion she can’t hold a candle to the Great Vanessa Del-Rio who not only has starred in over 100 films since her appearance in the adult industry in 1974.
What Porn Star can claim a vast career, be mentioned in Rap songs by Ice Cube, Lil Kim, Digital Underground, Chubb Rock, Busta Rhymes and The Game and have an appearance on NYPD Blue?
And let us not forget her cameo in “Get Money” by Junior M.A.F.I.A. (The fun starts at 2:46)
Watch her discuss her impact and a book (Fifty Years of Slightly Slutty Behavior) that is in the works in the video below:
Now that we have covered the outside influences that is needed to take the Porn Star to the superstar level, you need to include physical aspects to porn acting. First up: Perfect Dick Sucking
You need to work the dick like you are sucking it like “it had the the antidote in it!” In my humble opinion, no one sucks dick on camera like Ice La Fox. I have never seen anyone pay attention to the oral like Ice when she was on camera. The only one that comes close is a retired porn actress Mary Jane.
They both pay loving attention to the shaft and head of the dick while using their lips to manage both. Ice looks as if she completely loves the act as oral and it transmits perfectly from the screen.
Next Up, the perfect Porn Star needs to have a Good Sex Game. I can’t stress the importance of this as I have watched many of a bad actor that was carried by a good actress that made the scene better than it really was. Jazmine Cashmere is a good example of this. I haven’t seen her put out a bad scene just because the actor she was working with was just bad.
I don’t know about you, but I love for my actresses can talk a good game while getting down. You have to have a good Vocal Component in order convey the sexual heat of needed in the scene. When it works good you have blazing scenes produced by actresses such as Mone Devine, Jazmine Cashmere and Ice La Fox. Conversely there are several Male Performers who don’t know how to do this well and screw up the scene with lines that come “straight out of a comic book.” (Points for anyone who knows where that quote comes from) A side eye to LT and Wetley Pipes who have ruined many of scenes for me.
I’m sure you’re noticing that I left Looks. It was on purpose. Although I do think that looks are slightly important if you don’t have the other components you are not going to make it as a porn star. I’ve known fine women would completely screw up a scene because they were worrying about being too pretty and not committing themselves to the scene.
So readers am I off the bend on this one. Who is your Perfect Porn Star?
Well that’s all for now … back to the reality of the world. More later

Time for a Debbie Downer moment. I’m on the internet daily and my internet usage has gotten me exposure to many people who have stories to tell. My fellow Blogger, ElegantIgnance Tweeted the sad story of Sara Kruzan.
Sara was a beautiful 11 year old girl who was being ignored by her Drug Addicted mother came under the attention to a 31 year old man known to Sara as G.G. Peep her story in the video below.
For those who don’t have the time to watch the whole video, let me sum it up. Sara was sentence to Life in Prison because she killed her pimp. A Pimp she met when she was 11 and the dude was 31 years old at the time. Two years later she was being raped and forced into prostitution at 13.
I’ll let that sink in for a minute.
She was sentenced to life in prison for killing the man raping her for THREE YEARS and forcing her to walk the stroll in those same years.
You would think that someone would take pity on her. I mean how many people reached out to Jaycee Dugard when they found out what deplorable living conditions she had to live in for years with her captor.
That wasn’t the case … at one point the judge overseeing her case said that she lacked moral scruples.
Again I’ll give you a moment to digest that.
So let me get this straight a man has sex with a 13 year old, and forces her into prostitution for THREE YEARS in which she is continuously abused, but yet she lacks Moral Scruples because she kills the monster hurting her.
WTF?!?!? (And please know that does not mean Why The Face)
This follows what I have recently starting saying about those in the Adult Entertainment business and/or Sex Workers: Why does someone’s career track instantly mark them as deserving what they get?
Why is it okay for people to show compassion to Jaycee Dugard but not Sara Kruzan?
Is it because SEX is involved with the second case and not the first. Sara was rapped repeatedly and abused just as bad as Jaycee but all of a sudden you put Prostitution into the mix then she’s immediately a person that lacks Moral Scruples.
So if Jaycee would have killed her Rapist/Captor would she be sitting in a jail cell or would she be let off because of mental duress?
Of course not … let’s not lie to each other and say that she would not be released and people would leaping over themselves trying to give her a great big hug.
Which leads me to my second musing of this post: I noticed that a lot of people who enjoy the fruits of sexuality frequently shame those who participate in it.
A friend of my calls this Slut Shaming and it basically means that certain people take pride in damning those who participate in Sexual Careers. From strippers, to Porn Performers to Sex Workers, they are frequently called every name known to man and shunned by the masses.
I was confronted with this when saw the question asked on a Message Board: “Could you Marry a Porn Star?”
The negative responses were good and plenty:
I could not date them … it would be like dating a whore.
No way. That person obviously has no morals and probably has so many STDs.
I think porn stars are better off only marrying other porn stars, or other people in the industry.
Oh. well, I would definately(sp) do her but marriage . . nah.
I’m not sure how extensively INGSOC has mutated the word MARRIAGE in NEWSPEAK, but… strictly speaking… you CAN’T MARRY a porn star -except, perhaps, an EX or REFORMED one. Cohabitating with someone who mounts whomever he or she is paid to -is not a marriage.
Look how those comments are compared with what they said about Sex Workers who basically are doing the same thing as Porn Stars but for less money.
They got what they deserved.
They were trash.
They asked for it.
What do they expect?
The world is better off without those whores.
Did I mention that those comments were from people who were asked about missing Prostitutes that were attacked by the Green River Killer?
It seems that some people automatically assume that if you decide to do porn you automatically give up any rights to a normal life? Okay I’m not being Pollyanna on the subject as I run into a lot of Porn Stars who are doing normal things as you or I would do on daily basis. They shop, They Clean, They Take care of their families … just like normal people.
Are Porn Stars and Sex Workers not allowed to experience love and what counts as a normal life for all that its worth?
We all know that people look down on folk who do porn but now I’ve discovered that their is even a pecking order within the Adult Industry:
Video Models
Look Down At
Strippers
Who Look Down At
Porn Stars
Who Look Down At
Prostitutes
Shocked? I was too before I found out that Tyra Banks Did a Whole show on it.
Really Tyra? With all of the avenues that Women of Color have to divide themselves, we are now looking at what level of the Adult Entertainment Tree that they are currently at?
This is nothing but an attempt by those that want to shun those in the Sex Industry to classify and further shame those in the industry as a whole.
By no means is Mr. BlackSexxx condoning the bad shit that goes on in the industry. But the women that choose this type of life shouldn’t be classified as being sluts, whores and hoes like the majority of the public (and the people that funnel money to them) as being.
I know it seems like I do post after post about what’s wrong with P.O.C. when it comes to sexual politics but these topics always seem to come my way. The Sara Kruzan story needs to be told and we need to change our thinking about Shaming folk who decide to take up work in the Sex/Adult Entertainment Trade.
Please leave comments in the box below. As always you can leave comments anonymously or contact me directly at my email address.

Seems like I have to clear some things up.
When I wrote my post about would I let my daughter do porn, it seemed a bit sexist to some of my readers. Please note that when I wrote the original post it was based on a question that was posed to me by a close friend. I wanted to answer that as if I was a parent who had an actual daughter thinking about going in that direction.
I did not want anyone think that I would not due diligence for a son who was thinking about becoming a pornography actor. However as much as we want to think that boys need equal protection … sadly in the world of Porn, my son would probably have a better career path than my daughter would in the current porn climate.
That doesn’t mean that men aren’t used and abused just like the women in various porn productions. As they a frequently used a objects within a scene you rarely see men as more than instruments to move the scene or they are to reinforce a stereotype to sell more DVDs/Videos. For P.O.C., if forces them to make the decision to either being degraded and go without work.
And even if males get work, its usually at a lower pay scale than the women in the scene that they are with. (Unless they do Gay scenes)
I would tell my son that he’s going to be lumped in with Sleazy Performer’s and Producers. Its not going to affect his professional life but his private life as well. Yes some of his male friends will be enamored with the life that he lives but try finding a woman outside the industry that will sympathize with his line of work.
I would tell him all of this and tell him the same thing I would tell my daughter: “Do What You Need To!”
And hope and pray he makes the decision that is right for him.

This question popped up while I was talking to a good friend of mine from Chicago. Seems like with my vast amount of Porn in my home plus the fact that I visit a strip club or two means that Karma says that I’m due for my daughters Jazmine or Niaria to start headlining at Magic City or doing DVDs.
For the record I have no kids. I plan on having some as soon as the universe blesses me with an equally understanding wife who shares some of the kinks that I do (that is another story for another blog WAAAAAY down the line). Be that as it may, I think I can still answer the question without any difficulty.
Of course I realize that this means my daughter of is 18 years of age and has fully graduated from High School. She may have a couple of years of college under her belt and wants to explore non-traditional methods of making money. I can’t fathom the reason but if my “of age” daughter comes to me as says she wants to make Stripping or Porn her way of life I hope that her mother and I will be able to tell her with all of the love in our hearts.
“Do what you need to.”
After saying that I would plan on giving her much information as possible. Hopefully Monica Foster’s site, GettingIntoPorn.com will still be up so she could avoid many of the pitfalls that happen to young women who don’t pay proper attention to their careers.
I would let her know that the images that she puts out there on the internet or on DVD she will never be able to get back. It will be out there for all to see. Not many men will see her as the way that I might-An Intelligent, fully functioning member of society that chose porn/striping as a career route.
No, the majority of men and women will see her as a whole. She will join the ranks of Sex works and other types of Adult Entertainers that looked at the dregs of society. [Slightly Off Topic: I find it surprising that the majority of people who would watch porn and enjoy its efforts on one hand would disrespect those doing the "dirty work" on the other.]
I’m not going to give my daughter the Pollyanna look at the porn industry as end all for easy money, quick money she can earn off the backs of many and the penises of a large majority. Porn in its current form is a rough business.
I’m really hoping that the porn game will have changed as much for the better than it is right now. I’m hoping that there will be places and companies hoping to due quality work, will nurture their actresses and try to attract more women with a softer touch.
I would hope that she would be able to find work with a company that cares about her well-being as a performer and not someone who’s on the assembly line of cocks and pussies they are using to make as much money as possible. If my daughter doesn’t like a scene I would hope that she finds a director who can make her feel comfortable and allay some of her fears. (“You wanna shoot this with a condom … We can do that.” “Don’t want to be called a ‘Nigger Bitch’ and spat on, not a problem!”)
Pollyanna I know. I understand that porn is a business and like with any business, you can expect sometimes you have to play ball. However you should be able to do a job and have your dignity intact.
So I would give all of this information to my daughter, hug her tightly and tell her that I’m still going to be her father no matter what.
To answer the question: Yes, Mr. BlackSexxx would allow his daughter to do porn … and pray at the end of the day she doesn’t come back to me broken than when I let her go.
So tell me readers, am I off my rocker that I would let my daughter (that I don’t even have yet) participate in the porn business? Or am I on to something?

While Watching ABC’s Nightline last night, they ran a report regarding Adult Only Business growing due to Women. It was a interesting topic, even though the lack of color in the episode saddened me somewhat. [Although clips of Afrodite Superstar did make an appearance.]
