On this day that has been assigned for to celebrate the life of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., We at BlackSexxxology would like to offer our thanks to Dr. King and his family for all of the things that they have done. Without the tireless efforts of Dr. King and the rest of those in the civil rights movement, there would be place for African American in regular society much less in Sex and Porn.

The struggle is not over … but we thank Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for doing the heavy work and getting us over the hump.

Thinking about this day and because we are a sex blog, I wanted to focus on one of things that always seem to come up specifically by those who want to paint Dr. King in a negative light. Sex and His Extramarital Affairs.

Now I can sit here and go through the tremendous list of information that was put out that Dr. King was tremendous womanizer, who cheated on his wife Coretta with various women. Sitting here in front of my computer in 2012, I cannot sit here and tell you how wrong this man was to the covenant he made with God and his wife. Powerful people in powerful potions get run on a lot and we don’t know what went down. We only have rumors and conjecture at this point (Which seem to be brought up by conservatives every MLK Holiday).

Like the following claim that Martin Luther King, Jr was a notorious sexual freak, specifically with White Women. However Snopes.com clears up some of these claims thanks to a letter sent buy one unanimous person trying to sully Dr. King’s memory (In the email Trope “Four Things You Didn’t Know About Dr. King“.)

Several websites deny this claim this just like Snopes.com: (From Urbanlegends.about.com):

Claim #4: One of King’s closest friends, Rev. Ralph Abernathy, wrote a book in 1989 in which he talked about King’s obsession with white prostitutes. King would often use church donations to have drunken sex parties, where he would hire two to three white prostitutes, occasionally beating them brutally.

False. Abernathy acknowledges in his autobiography that King had a “weakness for women” and indulged in extramarital affairs, but makes no mention whatsoever of “drunken sex parties” or prostitutes, and explicitly denies that King had dalliances with white women. Furthermore, Abernathy writes, far from being physically abusive, King was “always gracious and courteous to women.” [Source]

Take this with a grain of salt but I think that what he did for people of color outweighs any particular “Information” that may be out their right now. Coretta Scott King and others refute many of these claims and I stand with them at this time.

Because considering that I’m able to write this to right now is a success for me and many other people of color.

Here are a couple of things that passed by me on this day:

1) As it was reminded to me today by my Blogger Sister From Another Mister, Blasian Bytch, Today is Human Traffic Awareness Day. There are at least 1.2 Million Children that are trafficked for various reasons every year. Find out more info here.

2) I went and asked a question to the Adult Movie Database and they added a search filter based on my question. Go here for the conversation.

3) Atlanta is no longer the Number One Gayest City but its still a haven for the Black LGBT Community. Click here for details

4) Complex Magazine released their top 50 Black and Asian Porn stars of all time. I don’t agree with either list as they are lacking some major stars (Italia Blue, Jayla Starr, Nina Deponca, Jazmine Cashmere, etc) What do ya’ll think?

5) Major Spoilers Reports that Spider-Man XXX: A Porn Parody nominated for 16 AVN awards – Seems like Comic Book Parodies are reaching the levels of real parodies these days.

So during my “hiatus” I still kept my pulse on what was going on in the Sex Game. One of the many things that crossed my way was a little film called “The Strip Game” that was released in 2005. Filmed by the senior member of the Wu-Tang Clan Method Man it was a look into the lives of strippers who worked in various strip clubs in New York, Texas and Atlanta.

I looked at it and found it was interesting but it went slightly off the rails in the third act as two strippers he was interviewing tried to make it more than what it was. (His reaction was priceless)

Be that as it may its a valid attempt and something that I wanted to do myself. Based on the G-String Divas, I always wanted to do a documentary on focusing on Strippers and Porn Stars of Color. Say what you will, but there is a difference between what goes on at a Strip Club frequented by People of Color and the other places.

I’m sure I can get at least Ten Hours of Tape out of it alone.

So peep the video below from Hulu and tell me what you think:

I haven’t been on here in a minute and quite frankly its do to a lot of outside stuff that kept me from posting in a year. Part of it was my own health issues but part of it was the fact that I wasn’t as passionate about writing about this stuff when I did when I first started the blog.

Then something happened in my personal life that made me reflect on the reason on my I created this blog. Looking for Porn on the Internet.

I was searching for new Starlets to watch and got enamored with two “New” Porn Stars Safire Flame and Bonita Butterfly only to be told they had been out of the business for years.

That’s the sad thing about the Porn Business when it comes to women who work in it. They have such as short shelf life while the dudes are STILL working way past their primes. I’m hurt as the fact that I found out that both Italia Blue and Catalina Taylor both Retired in 2011. There was no fanfare, no notices, I basically had to do a Google search and wade through a number of Bullshit websites in order to find the information that I need.

After all of this time, I’m still dumbfounded about how information regarding pornstars of color are disseminated on the internet and other places. I had someone on my twitter link ask me what happened to Ebony Ayers and even with my knowledge of Google-Fu I can’t find any credible information to even post a credible answer.

Which kinda leads me to the problem I had with this site. A number of my visitors or the emails I get from visitors were about A) How to get into the business or b) Those folks searching for Porn Clips to post.

To let you know folk, I just post info to elicit discussion. I don’t have any inside information on how to get into the porn business, I don’t have Black Women on Call you can have sex with nor do porn clips to share with you. This site was created to impart information you can’t find on the dozen or other sites that are just about promoting “Sweet Black Pussy” (That last sentence should eliminate a number of my searches … hopefully).

I got tired of having to explain myself both on line and off line to the folk who wondered what my site was about. So when my Health Issues became front and center, I needed to take a step back. However, I missed writing about sex and porn issues in an intelligent manner and wanted to start this again.

So I’m giving it a go again. I hope to have more thoughtful and sexual posts in the future and it won’t be about promoting a porn site … unless they deserve it.

More later.
