When I’m not trolling for Porn on the Internet, I like to visit Internet Celebrities like Mr. Chi City. Some of funnier stuff I’ve seen on the YouTube has been from this guy.
So who would have thunk that he visited the Exxxotica 2009 in New Jersey. Mr. Chi City grabbed a camera and taped his visit to the convention.

Current TV’s documentary show Vanguard focused on the Porn Industry in an episode called Porn 2.0. The topic was how Pornography was dealing with the loss of revenue due to the economy and Tube/Torrent Sites. It also focused on how the companies were adapting to the changing landscape.
It was interesting for the most part but I feel that its another piece that focuses on how people are no longer buying porn because of lack of money. I think that is only one part of the problem as I feel that Porn Companies have not changed their business models since the introduction of Porn on the Internet.
In my opinion you can’t continue to keep putting out the same material for a select group people. Yes, I know that white men are your bead and butter but companies seem to be freezing out a new demographic that could help them weather the storm. More women and couples are buying porn now and I think that themes and titles need to reflect that.
The show also showed new technology that would hope to level the playing field. I don’t think that getting porn on your iPod or a machine that will allow a man to go stroke for stroke with video clip is going to help. It is a start and they are at least trying to think outside of the box.
However as I’ve said before, you’re not going to save your business unless you bring in new clientele. The only way to do that is to look to other demographic streams.

So Dr Drew Pinsky had a show to come out during my self-imposed exile during the writing month. This time instead of healing chemical dependency, it tackled the monkey of sexual addiction.
Here are the list of the participants of this years Sex Rehab show, thanks to the site known as The Frisky. Match Them Up With The Pictures Above:

7. Penny Flame, aka Jennifer Ketchum: Porn star, natch. As Jimmy Kimmel asked, “Can a porn star be a sex addict? Aren’t they really just workaholics?”
8. Nicole Narian: Playboy playmate, model, video [model]. Her addiction lead to a co-starring role in the Colin Farrell sex tape. “That

I can’t begin to tell you the grip that sex addiction holds on folk. I have at times raised an eyebrow every time I hear about someone famous who claims they have sex addiction when they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar. (See Steve Phillips and David Duchovny)
Something I found interesting was how these folk struggled to kick the monkey in the first week. I swore they were one step from tearing each other to pieces. I mean I’ve been horny before but have I been to the point where I couldn’t even function without it?
Nicole Narain mentioned that she spent a full day in bed just masterbating. She’s mentioned that she’s lost jobs because she couldn’t tear her away from what she was doing.
Truth be told, I have addicts in my family and I have an addictive personality and I struggle with not getting hooked on one thing. I have the power to at least know what I can face and what not to get involved in. I feel for the addicts would chose their “drug” of choice rather than the life they want to lead.

What did I think of the show? As I said before, I feel for those struggling trying to release themselves of this burden but I’m not a fan of those acting like an ass just because the camera’s are on. This Kari Anne vs Kendra “beef” is probably manufactured and does nothing but dilute the good will the show is trying to do but putting this type of addiction in the spotlight.

With this the first Thanksgiving in the Blacksexxxology era, I thought I give my own wishes to those celebrating this holiday with family and/or friends (or a alone).
Since this is a Sex blog I thought I would give you a hint to burn off those calories.
Sex is a wonderful substitute if you can’t get to the gym or the treadmill in the basement.

And yes the article says its not a complete replacement for regular exercise but any excuse to get in a “workout” is a good one.
Think of the food that you are eating for the big Dinner. More than not one of those meals is going to be an aphrodisiac in some form. For example my favorite part of the meal is the sweet potato pie. According to this site, I would be better eating it with someone rather than alone.

As I just posted, I’ve been living under a rock while trying to get my 50,000 word novel for NaNoWriMo. Sadly that meant that I missed out on the Oprah following up her Sarah Palin interview with a show about women and Pornography.
I can’t believe I missed this! The Queen of Talk Show Media actually was going to do a show about porn? Now I was expecting this to be something like “Porn Is Bad, Those Who Watch It Are Bad Too.”
However as I’ve heard from some of my readers from my Twitter feed, the show actually had discussions about porn and did not try to slut shame those who were in porn or watched it. This was a so different from Ms. Tyra Banks “riveting” look into the subject on several of her shows (Anyone Remember “Porn Town“?).
The show had reports from Lisa Ling and Interviewed Jenna Jameson. It focused mainly on the fact that women are now buy and watching porn. Sadly Oprah was a bit late with this tidbit as ABC’s Nightline did a story about this in the Summer but I do commend her for trying to shed some light on this topic.
Still though what is it going to take for someone to do a documentary or film about people of color in the industry. The novel Money Shot sparked my interest to report of such a topic and I can’t find anyone else doing that type of interviewing on film or TV.

My friends, I offer this apology to you.
There has not been a post to the site since SincerelyGo was nice enough to offer her unique perspective. The questions mounted as to where I’ve been at for the past couple of weeks.
Yes, I did neglect the blog and my readers but I was deep into a national contest that runs every year around November. It’s a contest that challenges writers to write a 50,000 word novel within one month. It’s called National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo Well I decided to go for it an see if I had the stuff to do it.
My Novel: A Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Erotic Mash up about a female Atlanta Police Detective who finds out that she is a descendant of a Alien Warrior Race thanks to a mysterious Alien who comes into her life. Supposedly she is subject of a prophecy that states that she is the chosen one to save her newly-discovered homeworld.
Considering the fact that I was mixing so many genres I had a lot to do. Unfortunately it meant that the blog took a hit. I didn’t become too much of a shut in as Twitter allowed me to keep in touch with my followers.
I did manage to finish the goal and completed the book (now known as WarBird) with 55,754 words. It may or may not be published but just finishing it altogether was a major accomplishment.
Well now with that out of the way: What did I miss?
